    Columbus Day Parade!

On Monday October 12th, we made the journey out to Main Street, Binghamton to watch the 56th Annual Columbus Day Parade and Italian Festival. Sixty-five of our residents enjoyed watching various high school bands from around the area as they made their way to Court Street to compete in the Mirabito Columbus Day Tournament of Bands. Each of these wonderful bands stopped and played a song right in front of our residents giving us a fabulous treat. The Northeast Bradford Jr/Sr High School band provided our residents with a little extra treat as they stopped and played two songs while they waited to perform across the bri... [Read more]

Congratulations To Our New CNA Graduates/ New CNA Class Information

On Monday October, 5th, our latest class of 7 CNA trainees graduated from the program. We celebrated with them during a graduation ceremony the next day, where they were able to be recognized in front of their friends and family and presented with a certificate and a gift from Bridgewater. They were generous enough to provide their instructor, Kris Campbell, with a gift of their own. This is the 9th class that has gone through the program since our first class matriculated in January 2014. We are so proud of our graduates and we can not wait to embrace them into the Bridgewater family! These graduates recently took th... [Read more]

    Three Generation Legacy At Bridgewater

It’s a pretty common thing here at Bridgewater to hear that two of our workers are related to each other. We have siblings, cousins, and even cross generational staff members working together. But now, my friends, we have entered some unchartered territory. For the first time in Bridgewater history three generations are working together in the facility: Sally, Community Life Leader of 3B; her daughter, Jennifer, unit manager of 3B; and her granddaughter, Rose, a Community Life Float. The one to begin the legacy was Jenn. She started as an aide while she was in nursing school, and when she graduated, she decided t... [Read more]

Sunshine Olympics: Cookie And Trivia Contests – 8/19/15

Bridgewater residents recently participated in the Sunshine Cookie Olympics at Hilltop Care Center. They made Chocolate Mint Cookies, a delicious combination of cocoa powder and Andes mint pieces. The cookies were wonderful and, while they didn’t win, they put up a good effort. Take from someone who ate too many, they were definitely a first place cookie and the judging was clearly skewed against us. ???? The team did, however, place third in Trivia, a feat never before accomplished by a Bridgewater team at these Olympics. So, where we lacked in baking skills (or were erroneously underscored), we made up for in s... [Read more]
