Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Ventilator Unit

A specialized unit, designed specifically to treat patients who are unable to breathe independently.

bridgewater_0178vent-person-300x200Our Respiratory unit boasts twelve Medicaid certified ventilator beds, eight of which are private rooms, plus eight step-down beds to be used as residents continue to recover.

This proven program combines specific protocols for ventilator weaning, along with the benefits of PT, OT and Speech therapies, to create a successful rehabilitation plan with the goal of returning our residents to their pre-illness baseline condition and, ultimately, to their homes.

We are staffed 24 hours a day with experienced Respiratory Therapists. The two Pulmonologists on staff evaluate the residents on a frequent basis and are available for consultation as needed at anytime, day or night.

An excellent, uncommonly found, feature of our unit is the piped in/automatic suction and oxygen systems(with high flow capabilities up to 15 lpm) in each room.

We have the capacity to support most types of Oxygen delivery systems and can readily meet the needs of those on Bipap or Cpap.
