December Holiday Activities!
It is that time of year again. Time to focus on the good and spread cheer to all those around you. Here at Bridgewater, we are doing our best to give everyone a fabulous holiday season. Whether you are celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or another holiday, we hope you have a wonderful time with your family and friends this season. December Employee Of The Month!
Congratulations to December’s employee of the month, Frank Chiaravalloti. Frank is a registered dietitian in our Nutrition Services Department. Everyone that interacts with him on a daily basis is impressed by his attitude and work ethic and he can always be counted on to help out a fellow co-worker. November Employee Of The Month!!
Congratulations to November’s Employee of the Month, Jackie Anderson! Jackie has been with our housekeeping department for more than a year, now. She never calls in, and is always on time and happy to be here. She goes above and beyond in her job. If she sees something that needs to be done, she takes the initiative and does it without having to be asked. The residents love her and are happy to see her on their floor. We are lucky to have her. Chinese Takeout Lunches!
Everyone knows November is all about eating and giving thanks. We are thankful for our residents, and we want to help them get as many good eats as they can this month. Therefore, during the month of November, every Thursday we will be ordering Chinese takeout for the residents who sign up. The food will be ordered from Long Feng Chinese Restaurant (http://www.longfeng607.com/). The residents will have their choice of Sweet and Sour Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Beef with Broccoli, or Pork Lo Mein and each lunch includes Pork Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. October Employee Appreciation Weeks!
October 5-9 is National Healthcare Food Services Week, October 12-16, is Dialysis Technician Recognition Week, and October 25-30, is National Respiratory Care Week . We appreciate our employees so much, and we try to do that appreciation justice on the various weeks set aside to especially to honor them. Each appreciation week on Wednesday, the department is served a special meal including a side salad, drinks, and cupcakes provided by the facility. Columbus Day Parade!
On Monday October 12th, we made the journey out to Main Street, Binghamton to watch the 56th Annual Columbus Day Parade and Italian Festival. Sixty-five of our residents enjoyed watching various high school bands from around the area as they made their way to Court Street to compete in the Mirabito Columbus Day Tournament of Bands. Each of these wonderful bands stopped and played a song right in front of our residents giving us a fabulous treat. Congratulations To Our New CNA Graduates/ New CNA Class Information
On Monday October, 5th, our latest class of 7 CNA trainees graduated from the program. We celebrated with them during a graduation ceremony the next day, where they were able to be recognized in front of their friends and family and presented with a certificate and a gift from Bridgewater. They were generous enough to provide their instructor, Kris Campbell, with a gift of their own. This is the 9th class that has gone through the program since our first class matriculated in January 2014. Bridgewater’s 2nd Annual Antique Car Show!
Get ready for a step back into the 50s and 60s with Bridgewater’s 2nd Annual Antique Car Show! On Thursday September 17th, Bridgewater will be hosting a car show featuring Beautiful Antique Street Rods provided by The Cruisin’ Buddies and Triple City Street Rods car clubs.
