Binghamton Alzheimer’s Walk

April 14, 2016

0215am_075-300x224On Saturday April 23rd, Bridgewater’s staff will be out in force to participate in the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s. These walks take place in over 600 communities in all 50 states and are meant not only to raise money for Alzheimer’s research, care, and support of those affected by the disease, but also to raise awareness of the far reaching effects the disease has throughout families and communities.

Our facility is currently raising funds to support our team, Team Bridgewater. At the last walk held in Binghamton in Fall 2014, Team Bridgewater was the #2 Top Senior Care Team in the area. This year, our goal is to beat out the competition and be the #1 Senior Care Team. We have a lot of work to do, but we are happy to be working toward a goal that benefits the people we care about most, our residents.

The Walk will be held on Saturday April 23rd, in Otsiningo Park in Binghamton, just down the road from Bridgewater. Registration begins at 9am, there will be a brief ceremony at 10, and the walk will begin at 10:15.

If you are interested in donating to our team, please let us know! We would be very grateful for the help! For more information on the Binghamton Walk to End Alzheimer’s and how you can donate to our cause, please go to http://tiny.cc/teambridgewater, or contact Laurie at 607-722-7225 ext. 169.
